Greetings on this International Women’s Day
,Iranian women have for years fought for their rights and equality
To that end, Neda Agha-Soltan, was a part of that struggle
She was the symbol of an emancipated woman, against all discrimination, especially gender discrimination and considered the separation of religion and state the only way to arrive at such an aspiration
Neda was not a follower of any religion and yet she loved God with all her heart and soul
She hated the hijab and thought of it as utterly useless; she believed that the hijab is an
insult to both women and men
She never considered any difference between women and men and saw everyone as
equal
,On this March 8th, on the occasion of the International Women’s Day
I present this photo to the memory of Neda and in respect to women all around the world
