A poem by Thorn White to Neda

She was a beautiful lady from Iran.
Neda was shot at a protest in Tehran.
"Give our people freedom" the crowd cried.
'I'm burning" . "I'm burning". Neda said as she died.

Neda sing your song from heaven. Sing it loud.
The angles are your choir. Your people are proud.
Let everyone know that God is with them.
It should be known that hope will shine again.

Please don't be afraid. You didn't die in vain.
The protesters remember. They call out your name.
Your death has been recorded for the world to see.
Some people have to die for others to be free.

Neda sing your song from heaven. Sing it loud.
The angles are your choir. Your people are proud.
Let everyone know that God is with them.
It should be known that hope will shine again.

An innocent life has been taken away.
Historians have marked the day.
No one should be shot for speaking their mind.
We all know that life can be unkind.

The internet has shown us this tragedy.
A world full of mothers cry for this young lady.
